PREMIER BRIEFING - Population & Climate: How Trends Shape Our Planet, Our Rights, and Our Future

11/15/2023 03:30 PM - 05:00 PM MT

Colorado's Health Capitol

Denver, CO 80203
Building Number: Suite 400

In 2022, the world's population surpassed 8 billion people, and according to UN demographers, global population may add another 2.4 billion before leveling off toward the end of this century. Global population growth continues, but demographic trends around the world have never been more diverse. While countries like Nigeria are forecasting a doubling of their populations, over 30 countries–including China–are shrinking. These trends have important implications for economic growth, health and well-being, and the ways that we plan for and respond to global challenges such as climate change.

Join WorldDenver and Kathleen Mogelgaard, President of the Population Institute, for an exclusive Premier Briefing and Q&A on the overview of these trends and findings from the Institute’s recent report, “Population and Climate Change Vulnerability: Understanding Current Trends to Enhance Rights and Resilience."
