Alina Romanowski, a distinguished diplomat with over 40 years of experience shaping U.S. foreign policy and national security across the Middle East and beyond.
Having recently concluded her tenure as the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq and previously serving as Ambassador to Kuwait, Ambassador Romanowski brings unparalleled, "on-the-ground" expertise to our stage. She will provide a deep dive into the shifting geopolitical landscape of the Middle East, with a specific focus on Iran's evolving role and current regional tensions.
The evening’s conversation will be moderated by Indira Lakshmanan, a veteran foreign correspondent and editor and host of NPR's "Here and Now" podcast, who has reported from more than 80 countries. Her sharp journalistic perspective will guide a rigorous and engaging discussion, ensuring we get to the heart of the issues that matter most.
