Colorado benefits from its strong cultural and economic connections to Latin America, but there is vast potential for expanded, inclusive growth through deeper partnership with the region. Following closely behind the ninth Summit of the Americas, join WorldDenver and the Biennial of the Americas for an evening of cultural celebration and a conversation between Ambassador Todd Chapman, former U.S. Ambassador to Brazil and Ecuador, and Patricia Barela Rivera, the first Latina to lead a state office of the U.S. Small Business Administration, on creating a vision for a deeper connection between Colorado and Latin America.

The Summit of the Americas is where the leaders for the western hemisphere have gathered for over the past decade to discuss common concerns, seek solutions, and develop a shared vision for the future development of the region. The theme of the 2022 summit prioritizes "Building a Sustainable, Resilient, and Equitable Future,” and forums will foster greater dialogue between heads of government and the people and businesses of the Americas to address hemispheric challenges and opportunities including social inclusion, economic recovery, climate change, democracy, and digital transformation.

The evening will also feature live music by Nico Martinez and a dance performance by
